20th BIENNIAL ISSBD MEETING
The conference will be planned and organised by two committees: The scientific committee consists of scientists from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Southern and Northern America with international reputation in their respective fields of research. The local organisation committee consists of a group of researchers from the Universities of Würzburg, Bamberg, Berne, Düsseldorf, Heidelberg, and Munich in order to ensure the best possible support for all aspects of the programme.
The Congress Center Würzburg is located in the vibrant center of town, within walking distance of the train station, the old town and the Fortress Marienberg.
The building offers rooms of all sizes for the ISSBD meeting 2008. The foyer of the Congress Center Würzburg offers enough space for the industrial exhibition and the poster sessions. A fantastic view of the River Main and the old fortress will be included.
The language of the conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
The size of your poster should not exceed 1.20 m (height) and 0.95 m (width).
All rooms will be equipped with beamers and notebook computers. The prevailing operating system at the conference site is Microsoft Windows XP. If you use special software other than Microsoft Office products, PDFs or HTMLs for your presentation or if your work was produced under a non-Microsoft operating system, we kindly ask you to bring your own notebook computer with a standard RGB-monitor-interface for the connection of a beamer.
